Shot as I was leaving today. I took a photo of the lit side of these blooms, but didn't like much about it. After walking on, I turned around, and decided the bcklit view might be worth a crack, and I think it turned out better - though I'm not entirely sure where exactly the focus was ...

And this evening I feel well-pleased. Kancho sent me a video with performances of Empi and Tekki Nidan, to guide my performances of them. After those two kata, he's added two others for me to learn - which I take as another positive indication. Feeling good. 8)
