Powerful together

It's been an extraordinary day.  Actually the whole week has been emotional, intense, and it's only Wednesday.  On Monday evening the news of the fatal assault of a teenager in the forest.  Our forest!  The shock in the Constantia valley was palpable.  Well over a thousand people gathered on Tuesday evening, as it to take back the forest from the evil which entered the previous afternoon.  The fence surrounding the forest is covered in flowers.  Today we heard that 3 young men had been arrested for this deed, men who were given up by mothers and women of a local community.  Wow, what an act of solidarity and bravery!  This evening I marched with these women as they went to the forest.  We are all one.
