A Day among the Daffodils

I chatted to the daffodils,
who chatted back to me.
The more we talked the more they grew
till each was like a tree.
Through a green and yellow forest,
in my yellow coat I strolled:
an experience to treasure
in my memory when I'm old.
And did it really happen?
I shall ask myself, but then
I shall soon forget the answer,
and enjoy it all again.
