Sunset

I had been looking to do a blip today in tribute to Sir George Martin, whom we lost yesterday, another legend claimed by this incredibly sad year. 

He was an icon who shaped so much of my own musical education and experience, and was a vital bridge from the old to the new in a time of massive cultural change, and I have no doubt his influence will continue to reverberate far into the future, if not forever. 

No worthy ideas came to mind today though, until I saw this wonderfully dramatic sunset unfolding outside my door. If a good sunset can't represent the passing of a legend I'm not sure what will.

Goodnight Sir George. What a life to have lived. Rest well. You've earned it.
