The Pier

The pier at Balboa Village on the Newport peninsula, here in Southern California, reaches out into the cold waters of the Pacific on a gloriously warm and sunny spring day. Holidaymakers were out in force, and we took our first outing on the new (ex-rental) bikes. Need a hat and sunscreen, though! The sun here is fierce.
