Cambodia!

Yesterday we had a long transit day using a bus ride and flight but we made it to our last country on this trip: Cambodia :-)

With only one day on Phnom Phen, Cam and I spent the morning learning about the very somber history of Cambodia in 1975 under dictator Pol Pot. The killing fields audio tour was very informative and very sad. To hear survivors stories combined with seeing the bones and skulls of the poor people that were executed during this time was very very moving.

Our afternoon turned 360 degrees in moods as today was Dean's 28th birthday! We spent the afternoon enjoying $2 jugs of beer along the Mekong river in the sweltering 38 degree heat of Phnom Phen. We are staying at the Mad Monkey Hostel so we headed back to their rooftop bar for more beers!
