Moths

I had a productive morning - two meetings and two exhibitions. A new documentary project and more work on an old one. Exciting times ahead!

The two exhibitions were both at Gracefield Arts Centre, a wonderful place whose future is in doubt as a result of council budgets having to be cut.

My favourite part was by a photographer called Nic Rue, highly commended in the Jill Todd Photographic Award 2015. Her work highlights the decreasing populations  of moths in the UK - 60 species became extinct in the 20th century. Nic uses the cyanotype process but her photographs are not fixed, so the images of the moths disappear and the photos are replaced with new work as the exhibition progresses. You can read about it HERE.
