Boat To Progress

Had a long, tiring and emotional day in Bristol. The details will have to wait until tomorrow; for now, my brain is stuck on low-level activity. And since I caught sight of this view, that activity has mostly been boat-related.

See, for all the barges and cuts in my part of the world, the one thing we notably lack is the ability to park your boat up outside the front door. This is definitely something we need more of. In Bristol, they're years ahead of us. They're parallel parking the buggers.

As far as I can see, the advantages of having a boat are many:

1) You have a boat.
2) Many people you dislike don't have a boat.
3) You can sail past these people in your boat, making rude gestures at them.
4) They can't catch you. They don't have a boat.

This is staggering proof that having a boat is the way forwards. So I salute you, people of Bristol. Your houses may be incredibly odd, but your boats are second to none, and you can even keep an eye on them from your front window. You are wonderful, innovative thinkers.
