Melancholy beauty

Walked around the business park again at lunchtime, before calling in at the printer's to pick up our Small Strings' business cards. And in to Berwick to the music shop after work, the second time this week, to buy some instrument stands.

In Berwick it was very pleasant - fairly mild with a blue sky for most of the day - and I was planning to stop on the way home to take a landscape shot or two. But to the west of the A1 was a heavy bank of cloud, and it didn't take long to discover that under the cloud it was very misty and damp! No nice views at all! Apparently it had been like that all day in Wooler.

So an indoor blip it is! These tulips should have been thrown out a couple of days ago, but I haven't got round to it yet. And there's a certain fascination in watching them decay - they're still rather beautiful in melancholy sort of way....
