We fill an 85 litre wheelie bin, mainly with newspaper, glass bottles (other than milk which gets collected and reused) and packaging, every two weeks. And one weekly  bag of up to about  3 kg for landfill - mainly packaging, with some contributions from the dogs. The latter will bio-degrade, but not gracefully.
