Mostly Six Five Oh

The new hedge.  A seriously boring picture, I'm afraid.  The east side of the house is the utilitarian side of things, the a/c fan and the garage at the southern end.  We planted 12 trees, they're all about 8 ft tall.  Despite the heavy rain squalls they're on a watering schedule for an hour every other day to get them settled and also to prepare them for the onslaught of the summer heat.  What the landscaper also managed to do is deal with rain pooling we've always had problems with on the pathway near the a/c fan, always worried me that it might flood the basement, well, since the new trees went in and she dealt with the drainage there's not been a pool of water there since - wonderful.

Speaking of squalls, there were some pretty big ones today.  The skies go so dark and the wind whips up, sending the wind chimes clanging just before the rain comes slicing through.  Thankfully managed my timing well today and all outside stuff was managed in the sun breaks in between.  Beautiful blossomy tree in the extra.  And one of Doyle, if you need a cat fix.
