Opening Night #1

Tonite was the opening night of the first of two exhibits in which I have a photo(s). What a fun event that was: full of energy, music, people milling about, just a very positive vibe :)

I'm featured here between the two partners of a collective called ExposedDC, which brings together photographers across the DC area. It's a pretty vibrant community -- most of it virtual, but with notable opportunities for real life encounters and projects.

This year is the 10th anniversary of ExposedDC and it partnered with the Historical Society of Washington to ask local photogs for pictures of DC as seen by its residents (none of that touristy stuff). From the pool of submissions, a jury selected 40-some images that are now on exhibit at the Carnegie Library in DC. I'm one of the lucky 'selectees' :)
