Anna, Beth and I headed out for the 10mile round trip to the shop. Cycled round the south of the island passed the Airport and the large flat areas of machair. Loads of birds, and especially lots of artic terns, one kept swooping at us.
While in Scarinish we played on the beach for while, Anna and Beth in the rock pools and me just sitting and watching the sea sparkle in the sun.

Once back at the north of the island, Anna and Rosie did a wind surfing lesson on a wee loch. They did great. We all ended up sunburnt, just unaware at how sunny it was while being cooled by the constant wind.

This is the view from the house as we chilled after putting the girls to bed. If you look close to the right of the house you can the most southerly of the Outer Hebrides on the horizon.
