How far?

Last night's quiz was...tricky, there was 'guess the liquid' (5 cups of alcohol, varying from 'ooh that's drinkable' all the way through to 'is that drain cleaner?') a picture round of road signs (we aced) a photo round of places in NRW (1 wrong) a truly hideous sport round (just what distance is the world record long jump? and what is the fastest an F1 car has been clocked at?) and then seemingly random, but no less awful questions - what is the distance between Kettwig and Rome, how many steps are there to the top of the Köln Dom and on average how many times a year does a couple aged 50 - 60 have sex....
It was only by strategic answer placement that we managed to win anything.
