Humans

arguably the most intelligent life form on earth, but devoid of common sense.
Humans, they know more than any other animal about what is the best for their bodies, but prefer to eat & do things that turn their cells to mush. 
Only humans have the ability to understand how they and all else fit into the ecosystem yet they are the sole reason for ecosystems being destroyed and all life forms dependent on them.
