These may not be perfect specimens but I found them growing wild, as were the primroses (Extras).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Nice - Rondo (recorded Autumn 1967, Olympic Studios, Barnes)
R.I.P. Keith Emerson (2 November 1944, Todmorden - 10 March 2016, Santa Monica CA)
The Nice were initially formed as PP Arnold's touring band but quickly became an entity in their own right. I first saw them on a package tour with Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and others in 1967, when they performed Rondo and Thoughts Of Emerlist Davjack. They had an exciting stage act that involved Emerson pinning down the keys on his Hammond organ by stabbing them with large knives - quite scary when seen up close, as at the ICA's Ugly Bug Ball the following year. Initially a psychedelic alternative band they had become a prog band by the time they disbanded and gave way for ELP. Lauded by John Peel at the time of their album debut, by the time they played at the 1970 Isle Of Wight Festival he described them as "a waste of talent and electricity." A great showman, offstage Emerson was a mild-mannered character who studied hard at his keyboard skills.
Rondo was an early example of their musical direction. It was based on Dave Brubeck's Blue Rondo A La Turk (transposed from 9/8 to 4/4 time) but incorporated passages from Bach's 1735 Italian Concerto, 3rd Movement and his Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (composed between 1730 and 1735).
