High Tide

I was in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, this afternoon  for a National Farmers Union Argyll Board meeting.  

Unusually for a Friday I had to drive across from an event in  Edinburgh where I had spent an hour and a half talking about civic nationalism (and other things) with  a group of mid career professionals from Bosnia Herzegovina  who are visiting the UK and who were being hosted by the Academy of Government at Edinburgh University.  The trip was also  one that took me from a pleasant spring day to mist and rain in something over three and a half hours.  

I always love this view, however and today the water was higher than usual, owing to the current spring tides.
