Foxy and the old Bamboo

Featuring Foxy for todays blip but after dropping something off at the Jet Age Museum in Gloucester we did a little gardening.
Last year we bought Luke some Black stemmed Bamboo as they were landscaping their garden, which includes a rather large Coy pond with big pumps and stuff that go with such things.
It is looking a bit sorry for itself so thought we'd better split it into separate pots as the roots were obviously binding in the same pot we bought it in.
What a job, we had to get a large, and very strong, kitchen knife, my rubber mallet and some muscle to split it. In the end we did it into 3 which you can see in the extra shots.
Hoping that the new compost around them will give them a chance to get some moisture and recover.
I packed in then but Marlane carried on cutting back some of the ivy that is overhanging the patio above where the three bamboo pots are.
