Post Birthday

This little man has had to endure probably the worst few days of his short life.
His birthday wasn't today, that was on the 10th, and it was a non-event. I took him to the docs the day after and he was diagnosed with Scarlet Fever, tonsillitis, and thrush in the mouth to round things off.

Today, he's been bouncing back, aside from the traumatic medicine administration (it is ghastly). Until this evening that is. He'd not done a poo for 3 days, and he knew he had to get rid of it this evening.  I've not seen him so distressed or in so much pain in all his 4 years. In fact I've never seen any kid like this, it was truly awful.

He's so brave, he knew what he had to do. We're all hoping he's over the worse. He fell asleep standing up leaning against me after that, being so exhausted.
