Johnny

This are no lilies, only a hyacinth, which I planted two weeks ago. (I have had forgotten them) I was very astonished that two of them started to grow and bloom immediately. They didn't give up - equal to Johnny, to whom I dedicate this flower heart.

Johnny - Jonathan Heimes  died on Thuesday, as a result of cancer.
He was 26 and a famous symbol figure in Darmstadt. He was struggeling against cancer since he was 14 and he survived four serious cancers.
But he never gave up.
Before he became ill, he trained tennis with Andrea  Petkovic. When he found himself in a wheelchair he worked hard to get on his feet again. But every time the cancer came back. Johnny founded the Charity-Project
"You have to fight" for children with cancer to enable them to have fun with sport while their stay in hospital. He sold bracelets with "You have to fight - there is still nothing lost" and organised charity events. Until now he collected over 150 000€.
The bracelets were also a big motivation for the third Liga Football Players from the "Lilies" Darmstadt 98. They managed to reach the first Liga and Johnny was definitely part of the team - the big motivation to struggle on while everything seems to be lost.
