Family heritage

This little painting of Havana port - Malecon - hangs in my mother's home. It is almost all that remains from the times when my great-grandfather lived and worked in Havana in something connected with the Customs Offices.
I have also been told that he took part in the Spanish–American War that took place in Cuba in 1898.
My uncle Pepe, who always considered his grandfather an illustrious figure used to tell me that he was a spy during the war and was made prisoner by the Americans.
He also lived in Philippines, where he got married. In the extra you can see a pic of this important ancestor of mine! ;-)
I think I could write a novel about him some day ....
