Friends display board - 125 years

The opening ceremony for the 125th birthday celebrations of the Belair National Park took place this morning in the grounds of Old Government House. This is situated in the heart of of the park.

It was a wonderful day with many people dropping in to the Volunteer Centre to look at the various photos displays set up on large photo boards. There were the historical photos from over 100 years ago, plus modern day photos of birds, flowers and animals found in the park.

Our local area state politician Sam was there, and also the local Federal candidate Nicolle. Both are active members of the Friends of the Park, a huge bonus for us. My photo is of a board featuring some of my bird photos shot in the park. 

The extra photo shows 5 members of the Friends, with the 4 on the left being committee members and the young lady on the right is one of the administrators of the Friends Facebook Page. From the left are the VP Mike, President Mark, Treasurer Carol,  Secretary Tina and Hayley.
