Blipped here a couple of times. Here is a bit more.

St Swithens Day today. Folklore has it that if it rains on St. Swithin's Day, it will rain for the next 40 days.

But, if it is fair then 40 days of fair weather will follow.

Better get the waterproofs and umbrella ready - its going to be a rough 40 days! (I wonder if St Swithen allows a bit of credit for the amount we have suffered over the last 40 days!!).
