This was a Christmas present from Laura; a wacky tomato kit!

Anyone who knows me, knows how much I luuuurve tomatoes, so I'm quite excited to have these to look forward to.

The kit contained everything needed to get them started; pots, compost, seeds, labels and even the little poly bags to help them propagate.

There's 6 varieties in total, all vastly different from what you get in the supermarket.

Zlatava has orange skin with a bright red flesh inside.

Taiko produces unusual elongated shaped fruits which are long and oblong in appearance, ripening to a bright banana yellow colour.

Black Russian are a dark mahogany colour that darken with age when ripe and produces a rich smoky complex flavour.

Radana is a high yielding variety which produced masses of pear shaped, bright red tomatoes which have an excellent juicy sweet flavour.

Duo are superb flavoured fruits which first appear in green with lighter green stripes, finally ripening to a red colour with yellow stripes.

Green envy F1 produce a fruit with a spectacular emerald green colour. They have a sweet, tangy flavour and a delicate fragrance.
