Greenfinch Chick

At least I think that's what it is. We do have some adult ones but they're quite timid. This one stayed in position for quite a time and I got a few shots through the kitchen window. I was quite pleased when I looked at this one as in all the other shots it seemed to have its eyes closed and I was worried it might be diseased/deformed. I was trying to remember whether birds could close their eyes but then I remember the owl in Squirrel Nutkin opening an eye. So perhaps the chick was just having a quick snooze.
