Kites

We undertook a two-and-a-half hour bike trip for lunch today, several miles up the coast to Huntington Beach. It was worth the effort alone for the display of kite flying on the beach. The air was thick with them. Some groups, eight strong, were flying in extraordinary sequence. The kites were all shapes and sizes, attracting hundreds of onlookers. We watched in awe for some time before heading back, with just one pit stop for coffee at Newport.
