Peacock...

Warrington does have its charms I'm sure. But they can be well hidden in this old, industrial town. It is, for example, with its position where the M62 and M56 crossing the M6, one of the most, alongside Manchester these days, prosperous towns in the country.

But as far as beauty is concerned, we're not talking Venice, Florence, Paris etc... But on a warm(ish) spring day the huge roundabout system just to the east of the town centre, looked beautiful, covered in little, golden daffodils set off with purple crocuses.

I took a few minutes to take some photographs of them. And I noticed the first butterflies of the season enjoying the warmth and the nectar in this spring food supply. They were Peacock Butterflies that I think have been tempted out of hibernation by the warmth. It was nice to see them. One kept still long enough to take this picture.
