Letters Live #2

A gorgeous Sunday spring morning spent exploring Marylebone High Street in London - a new part of town for me. I was drawn because I wanted to visit Daunt bookshop and Fischers Cafe - neither of which disappointed. Simply wonderful.

Then back to Freemason's Hall for my second night of Letters Live - with a front row seat this time! Another fabulous selection, with readers including Geoffrey Palmer, Jeremy Paxman, Hanif Kureshi, Oscar Isaac, Lou Brealey and Sophie Hunter. There was exquisite music from Nitin Sawhney too.

Has to be said, spending the evening where for a significant proportion of time you are sitting just a few feet away from Benedict Cumberbatch has a lot to recommend it. Flawless.
