Arley Hall and Gardens

I blipped this lovely stately home last year - in summer, when the roses and colourful plants were flourishing.

I spent a super day with a great friend - but as it was early March, it was a very different environment.  Strictly and healthily pruned gardens hold promise for the future, but on a grey day, it didn't have that sparkle.

But the house was still stunning and well worth a trip up to Cheshire to enjoy its stateliness.
