Greenbelts under threat-Bridge of Allan

Just back from Bridge of Allan community council, where as expected there was a full house because two major planning applications were again on the agenda.

A developer wants to build 600 houses on Airthrey Kerse (between Causewayhead and Bridge of Allan) and a decision will be made by the council next Wednesday.

Meanwhile Park of Keir (see extra photo) has gone to appeal and a decision is expected end of April/May.

Both are designated Greenbelt areas at either end of the village.

However, the announcement splashed across all the media today that Judy Murray is resigning as captain of the British Women’s Fed Team came as something of a bolt out of the blue especially her reason given that she wants to spend more time with her grandchild now that Kim and Andy have had a baby.

So where does this leave her dream of a tennis centre at Park of Keir? Do the developers know this? Has she told them?
