FUN IN THE MORNING...

... well, although we were organised to be all day at the Melbourne Flower Show, the morning produced a shot I had on the "bucket list" when here!

The flying of hot air balloons over the city is very popular, and although our vantage point not as close as I would have hoped, still like this one.

A reasonable sunrise to assist.

We then hit the Garden Show, and being Opening day all the normal "nervous energy" by the exhibitors and organisers was evident.
Set in the grounds of Carlton Gardens with the magnificent Exhibition Building which has an amazing history.

The main point I was not fully aware of, is shown in the shot in extras. The display photo showing the 9th May 1901 where 12,000 people filled this magnificent structure to witness the first Australian Parliament, and overlooking the crowd today with the same aspect.

A couple of other shots in extras, and over all a super day. We are back there on Friday night for the Show under lights.

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE
