Pink Attack...!

I was a tad surprised when walking through the Rising Sun Country Park (here in North Tyneside) this morning to see that a small part of the park had turned pink. This photo really is how it looked - no Photoshop faffing! Further along the path there was a similar, light blue area. I've no idea what's been going on - it looks as if someone has sprinkled around bucketfuls of powdered poster paint! It'll be interesting to see what happens to it over the next few weeks.

I was actually on my way home after having taken our car to the garage for some recall work. A year past July we replaced our old Zafira Model A with a new one (Model B) (see here) - which is great - but we were a little worried when we read the news that several of these cars had caught fire. Seemingly it has only been cars which have undergone certain repairs which have been affected, but they've recalled the whole lot to make changes to the heater motor resistor. So I rather hope they've fixed the problem now :-)
