Driving the Flying Scotsman!

Cannot believe the numbers of people that turned out to see this engine, photographers and train enthusiasts of all shapes and sizes, young and old! The platforms were swamped and all along the line from Grosmont to Pickering people were waving and taking photographs.

It must make all those who were involved in the restoration project thrilled to see the support from so many members of the general public.

However, it was very difficult to get any sort of decent blip, being 5ft2ins has major disadvantages in these situations! This was the best I could manage, the wiggly line in the reflection is the white line on the platform that photographers must not cross!!
