Pussy willow!

The catkins have burst through on the big willow tree and look great against the blue sky. The insects must be about now too, as the blue tits love sitting in this tree pecking at the branches, This is also the tree that our recently visiting green woodpecker sits in. To tell the truth, it is not really our tree, since it grows just outside our back fence, but we have adopted it and it has adopted us over the years as its branches are well over the fence into our garden.
I must cut some of the pussy willow this weekend and use it for my Osterbaum ( Easter tree) decoration.
