hello sunshine

Saw this lovely furry bumblebee this afternoon. It had just emerged from an underground nest at the top of the garden into the warm afternoon sun. We always have a few bumblebee nests. It was just over an inch long (so quite big) and it walked all over my hand before buzzing off over to a clump of snowdrops. Always amazes me how they can fly.
