The last blush

Today was mainly spent around Kate's trying to sort out her roof. Apparently it's not been coping too well with the small amount of rain we've been having recently and has started leaking in one of the bedrooms.

While Nick, Eve and Mike dealt with that the rest of us took the opportunity to do some cathartic pruning. Or at least Kate and Kirsty did. Steve, Alan and I did some cathartic shredding of the pruned remains.

Well, mainly Steve and Alan did. I was relegated to stripping bind weed of the branches after my one attempt to use the shredder almost immediately jammed it. Ho hum.

This Rose was one of the many prunings. It was very worse for wear, but it needed to go somewhere and the top of the shredder was as good a place as any while we had a tea break.

It's alright though - it was rescued before the shredder was restarted.
