Ikonoclast of the Year Awards 2012

A day of celebration and remembrance, and my what a day it was.

As an agency Ikon Brisbane flew down to Sydney early Friday morning and arrived at Circular Quay for the 2012 Ikon Conference. It was the first time Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Ikon had collectively met and it was a great occasion.

The conference at Dendy theatre outlined the results Ikon had achieved in the past 12 months, reviewed the culture and the ikonclastic approach and gave us all an exciting and promising view into the immediate and long term future of the company. Inspirational to say the least.

After an afternoon of socialising and bowling, we eagerly awaited the announcement of where the evenings celebration would be occurring.

15.01pm an email from Sonia Potter:

Tonight's Ikonoclast Awards will be held at Opera Point Marquee, The Opera House. Please make your way there at 6pm sharp.

The Ikonoclast of the Year Awards are the biggest night on the Ikon calendar. Nestled underneath the Opera House overlooking the Harbour Bridge, an amazing evening was celebrated by all.

The Ikon Brisbane Ikonoclast of the Year went to Simon. A big congratulations to him. Lesley was actually unable to make it to Sydney but she said 'Simon absolutely deserves this recognition'.

Simon would like to thank Lesley and the Brisbane team for all their support and general awesomeness.

Many new friends were met and it was finally a chance for us to put faces to our Sydney and Melbourne counterparts. What turned into a truly epic night of celebration, the stories will go down in Brisbane folk law... You should ask Shalyce one day if you ever get the chance!
