Bird House

I was absolutely delighted yesterday to be given this beautiful little bird house, made by the husband of one of the customer's in our charity shop.  Believe it or not, I have never owned one before, and I am hoping that the local bird population will soon find it and give me some photo opportunities.  For now, I have hung it on the washing line post, which is possibly too open..... unfortunately I only have a fir tree at the bottom of the garden which may not be suitable.  Any advice on situating it, would be welcome :))
