Shorelight Inn

We have a new B & B in Benicia. It's called the Shorelight Inn. It used to be part of the Pink Palace, which was built in the 1880s and was said to have been a brothel at one point. In the 1940s it was a reputable hotel. More recently there was an apartment complex here. In 2006 most of the Pink Palace Hotel was razed, something that rarely happens in this historic town. Apparently it was an error made by someone on the Historic Commission. But a citizen saved a piece of the hotel which was later bought by the current owners. I looked at the rooms online. It's very nice and adjacent to the water. If I didn't live here, I would want to visit and stay in the Benicia Bay room.
