Now

The Eden in Appleby looks so peaceful (and innocent) now, but there is evidence everywhere of the town still clearing up from the floods. My dentist is a long way from the river and also raised up from the road. They have never ever been flooded before, but in December the ground floor was 2 feet deep in water. The whole of that floor, with all the equipment and everything, has had to be stripped out and they are only now getting to the stage of decorating and restoring the reception and treatment rooms.

Fortunately they have another room upstairs used by the hygienist - now both she and the dentist share it. They hope to get back to normal next week.

Blipmeet Reminder
Cumbria Blipmeet in Caldbeck tomorrow (Sunday).
Meet at the cafe in Priest's Mill at 11am.
(We would suggest that you park in the village car park and walk through to the Mill. There is parking at the Mill, but it can get very tricky finding a space.)
