That little pest is given us (more precisely our forests) a really hard time. Three successive winters without frost - which is highly unusual for the region - and an extremely hot and dry summer 2015 has led to an almost uncontrollable growth of the insect population. All we can do now is carrying out damage control by cutting down the infested trees - and hoping for a wet summer...
