Leucistic Greylag

As I didn't achieve much yesterday I managed to get up and out this morning. I just did the basic circuit of the lake before it got busy at Trentham Gardens.

I was pleased to see this leucistic Greylag Goose. This is a shot of it that I blipped lasy year. It returns every year with its mate and is a sign of Spring. Quite apt on the Spring (vernal) equinox day for the northern hemisphere of the world. Last year the Spring equinox coincided with a solar eclipse. I was at Trentham then and spent the eclipse with my favourite swan.
