Furry Buds

Does anyone know what species of tree this is please?

I spotted this tree at the Crematorium whilst putting flowers on my Mum and Dad's Memorial Stone, as it is three years today since my Mum sadly passed.

This tree had large furry buds, some just bursting into bright pink, others with fully opened buds producing a delicate pink flower. See extra for tree and flower.
