To the lighthouse

Built in 1830, at Sutton Bridge, The East Lighthouse was home to Sir Peter Scott for many years. His friend, Paul Gallico, wrote the 'Snow Goose' here.

It was originally intended, with it's twin sister, on the West Bank to aid navigation at the mouth of the Nene Cutting which is a major part of the drainage system for the low lying lands around the Wash.
