The body of Jesus is taken down from the cross.

Church cleaning this morning and one of my friends was telling me a bit more about the stations of the cross sculptured in fibreglass by Ray Schofield an artist from the Morecombe Bay area.  Christ's hand is stretched out towards us.

 I have blipped The Resurrection which hangs over the  tabernacle and St. John and Our Lady that hang outside the church also by Ray Schofield.  (1948 - 2004)

Today is Maundy Thursday when the Last Supper and the institution of Holy Communion are celebrated.
