Snowflake snowdrops

I didn't hear any rain last night but judging by the raindrops lingering on these pretty snowflakes it must have been a fairly heavy downpour.

L and I went to Greenbank Gardens ... looking for interesting daffodils but we were a couple of weeks too early. Plenty of hellebores and these pretty snowflake snowdrops.

The spring snowflake is much larger than its relation the snowdrop. Snowdrops have three main petals, and three smaller inner ones, the six petals of the snowflake are all the same length, with conspicuous markings at their tips.
