Snapshots of rural France

The frontier towns

Today we went for a drive along the windy roads following the coast south. A beautiful day and not too much traffic.

I expected passports to be checked at the border but even though we're in a state of emergency in France the border looked more like a graffitied abandoned shanty town.

We went to Portbou which you can see on the photo, then through Colera (I kid you not!), and on to Llança.

Back to the apartment for dinner. And Mr B has a nice bottle of Cave Tambour Victoria 2011 to wash it down with...

It's been a rather nice day!
