Enlightening reflexion & meeting old friends

Eyeblinding Surprise! We just arrived at the town harbour to look into the water that had been let in yesterday. We couldn’t remember how long the basin had been standing dry  because of repair work on the old quayside walls. It seemed years…The bottom soil had grown into a wild bushy marshland. And now, wow!


This reflection. The sky returns in its Moebius-ring effect. Now we realize how long we had missed this miraculous changing effect of the sky reflecting itself infinitely in the water mirror. This mirror never had been so clear. Of course now it was the fresh Diemelwater streaming in and filling up the basin. Such a clarity and serenity of the surface. We had to blink our eyes and were completely cheered up by the change in light intensity around the harbour.


As meeting reflexive waters enlightens and uplifts you, so does the meeting with animals. We climbed uphill to the Eisenbahnerheim where our big friends Paule and Lucky live around the ruins and have their winter stable. They were glad to munch some carots we brought. Why didn’t we have some more...Big Paule stamped with his hoofs and turned around ostentively. Unlike Lucky who stayed for long leaning his jaw on the mossy wall.

Just a walk around town today. Water and horses. Meeting miracles.
