Horseshoe Bend

Today we woke up in the city of page, Arizona, a place I know well from my geology fieldwork. We explored the area looking at page's hanging garden, glen canyon dam and horseshoe bend. The view over horseshoe bend was spectacular and we enjoyed watching the river sweep around the bend several hundred meters below. For dinner in the evening we headed to big John's BBQ for some fantastic bbq and live country music, all washed down with a few Grand Canyon beers.
