Scottish National Museum of Flight

Today was a special celebration at the Scottish National Museum of Flight at East Fortune as they were opening their newly refurbished hangars in which the aircraft are far better displayed and have good interactive information stands. We took  my grandchildren to see the exhibits and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves especially in the Fantastic Flight hangar which is full of interactive exhibits which try and explain the basics of flight. As it was the opening day there were a few special events including the presence of these World War One pilot uniforms. I can't help thinking that the Germans had the more stylish uniforms even if the head gear was a little impractical.
